Visited art museums, galleries, temples, castles, and ceramic facilities worldwide including:  the Andaman Islands, Australia, Bali, Belgium, the Caribbean, Cambodia, China, Columbia S.A., Denmark, France, Germany, Hawaii, Holland, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Maldives, Norway, Palau, Philippines, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Taiwan, and the UK.     


Travel Specialty: Japan  

• Have planned and guided trips for students and the public to Japan since 2014. Make all travel plans including: Reserve Hotels for groups, hire Japanese Guides, arrange travel, book hands-on workshops in traditional Japanese arts: Indigo dyeing, pottery, jewelry 

• Speak A1 level of Japanese, and continue to study Japanese      


Serendipity Art Center

Since 2018, in collaboration with Kazuki Takahashi, we have been working on Serendipity Art Center, in Tonasaka, Japan, located in Unzen, on the Shimabara Peninsula, in the Nagasaki Prefecture on Kyushu. We are currently renovating and converting an old cow farm into art studios and housing. Serendipity will have an American Ceramics Studio and multipurpose studio for a variety of art classes and workshops in: wood block printmaking, fiber arts, painting/drawing, brush making, and more.
